2019-20 Upper Deck CHL is back to highlight hockey’s future stars. Celebrating highly-anticipated young players like Alexis Lafreniere, Quinton Byfield, and Cole Perfetti, 2019-20 CHL has the goods, with lots of cool inserts, high-demand autographs, and even a few surprises to be found!

With a 400-card checklist, CHL has a fairly large base set. There are 100 total Star and Star Rookie Short Prints to find, and on average you’ll get one in each pack. There are also parallels to look for that come in some of the same variations you’d find in Upper Deck’s NHL series: Exclusives (/100), High Gloss (/10), and one-of-one Printing Plates. Some base cards also have autograph versions (1:16).

1999-00 CHL Class

1999-00 CHL Class is a subset of retro cards using current CHL players with the card design from 1999-00. They land at roughly one in every six packs and there’s a special 1999-00 Connor McDavid card to find (1:2,160).

In addition to the Connor McDavid retro card, there are Wayne Gretzky buyback cards from the original 1999-00 CHL set. They are autographed and are numbered out of ten.

 

In Conclusion

2019-20 Upper Deck CHL is expected to release in early May. There are sixteen cards per pack and twelve packs in every hobby box. If you’re looking to get a case, there are twenty hobby boxes in each. On average, inside a hobby box you’ll find two 1999-00 CHL Retro, four Draft Ready, four Scouting Report, and twelve Base Set Short Prints.
