Everything We Know About the Pokémon Guardians Rising Expansion

We’ve got the first big batch of information on Pokémon Sun and Moon’s second set: Guardians Rising. Players may have already known the name and release date (May 5th), but there hasn’t been much more information on the expansion, that is, until now.

Here’s everything we know about Pokémon Sun and Moon: Guardians Rising:

New Cards in the Pokémon Guardians Rising Expansion

The new set will include over 140 cards. Officially, there are 12 full art Pokémon GX cards. (You never know if there may be a secret card in these sets!) We can confirm 8 of the GX cards, but the remaining 4 still haven’t been revealed. (Let us know which Pokémon you think they’ll be on Facebook!) Here are the GX cards:

Edit: Thanks to @Hungry_Kabigon, we’ve got info on 2 more of the GX cards and confirmation that the Lycanroc is going to be Midnight Form. Credit for the images of the cards go to Hungry Kabigon, and as you can tell the information is based on the Japanese release of the card sets. The Japanese sets are usually released before the English version, and usually contain the same cards.

  • Kahuna Hala
  • Captain Mallow

There are going to be 3 full art supporter cards in the new set, and we suspect that Kahuna Hala and Captain Mallow will be 2 of the 3, but can’t confirm at this time. Rumors have it that Alolan Ninetales and Vulpix will be joining as water type Pokémon as well. (Yay!)

There are plenty of exciting new products coming out with/alongside this new set as well! Some players may have already seen the leaked information on the Guardians Rising Elite Trainer Box, and we can now confirm that leak to be true.
