At age 17, Jalen Green had already won three Gold Medals with team USA. He participated in the 2019 FIBA U19 World Cup, 2018 FIBA U17 World Cup and 2017 FIBA Americas U16 Championship. Green got his first taste when team USA played Puerto Rico in the first round of the 2017 FIBA Americas, he scored 8 points in 17 minutes. USA went on to beat Canada 111-60 in the final to win gold. In 2018, he was the youngest member of the 2018 USA U17 World Cup. Despite not starting for team USA, he led the team in scoring with 15.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game and was named MVP of 2018 FIBA U17 World Cup. Summer of 2019 in Heraklion, Greece, Team USA back on top. They won the 2019 FIBA U-19 Basketball World Cup over Mali, its first championship since 2015. Green, the only other high school student to average double-digit points per game at 10.1, had secured his third gold medal.
