The Orlando Magic have had a few different uniform looks in the franchise’s history, but one of the most iconic is the sublimated stars look. The away jersey in this era was blue and featured the Magic wordmark with a stars pattern. For the team’s 35th anniversary and the 25th anniversary of the “Heart and Hustle” team, Orlando brought back this classic look as the Hardwood Classics edition in the 2023-24 season. This also turned out to be the best season at the time for Franz Wagner in his young career. The third year small forward recorded 19.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game for the Magic. With a 47-35 record that was good enough to secure the number five seed in the Eastern Conference, Wagner reached the playoffs for the first time. He showed he belonged with a great performance in the first round, that included a 35 point and 13 rebound game in a Game 4 win against the Cleveland Cavaliers. While giving the fans a nostalgic flashback with the Hardwood Classic uniforms, Wagner also gave them a glimpse into the future of what he can bring to the floor for the Orlando Magic.
