Whether you've never played a game before or you've been playing for years, Pokémon League is the perfect place for you to learn, grow, meet your community and score some free cards,all while playing the Pokémon Trading Card Game! 

Where is the Zephyr Epic Pokémon League?

Please note, there will be no league on Friday August 16th because of the Pokémon World Championships. Good luck to everyone attending!

What is Pokemon League?

A Pokémon League provides Pokémon Trading Card Game players (and fans) a place to get together with other like-minded enthusiasts and have fun playing TCG! Pokémon leagues are held in public locations - at the Zephyr Epic retail store - and are run by official League organizers. Check out our official league page here.

Do I need a Pokemon Play Trainer account?

A Pokémon Trainer Club account is not required to participate in League events. However, players who do not have Trainer Club accounts and who are not opted in to the Play! Pokémon program cannot track their event progress, receive exclusive League distributions, or compete in Championship Series events such as League Cups and League Challenges.

If you decide to create a Pokémon Trainer Club account you can sign-up here. If you decide you do not want to create account, no sweat! You can just come on by and play!

How much experience do I need? 

None! You can be a total beginner or an absolute pro. All experience levels and ages are welcome! If you are new to the game, we will have experienced players on hand if you would like help or are trying to learn.

How much does it cost? 

Pokemon league is free, and there is no cost to participate. 

What if I don't have a deck? 

We will have several beginner theme decks available for those who are new to the game. These will be available on a first-come first-serve basis. 

What should I bring with me? 

You can come with just yourself, but if you want some suggestions on what you may need, here's a list: 

  • Water bottle or beverage (closable lid) suggested if you'll be playing for a while
  • Your favorite deck
  • Pen and Paper (if you want to keep track of your success rate!)
  • Extra Sleeves (you never know when a sleeve will rip)
  • Your favorite Playmat (we do have them if you don’t have one)
  • Snacks are permitted as long as they are off the games tables
  • Your favorite flip coin and dice (if you don’t have these will be supplied by Zephyr Epic)
  • Trade cards (given this is a community event you are welcome to bring a box of tradable cards with you - no private monetary sales permitted however)
  • Parents and children are welcome!
