Something To Look Out For: Brock Boeser Rookie Cards
17 points in 17 games. Ranked 3rd amongst this year’s rookies. And a hunt to get his rookie card.
All of these are of course referring to Brock Boeser of The Vancouver Canucks. Here’s why collectors are scrambling to find and add his rookie cards to their collections, and how you can score one for yourself.
Why the sudden uptick in interest?
The answer is simple really. The value of a hockey card is closely tied to that player’s in game performance, and Boeser is on fire right now. It’s no secret that The Canucks had a difficult 2016-17 season, but this year is shaping up to be different and it has much to do with Boeser. As we mentioned in the opening paragraph, he’s scored 17 points in 17 games, and is currently holding the number 3 spot for rookies this season.
Additionally, he became the third-youngest rookie in the history of The Canucks franchise to record a hat trick, helping his team score a big win over the defending Stanley Cup champs: the Pittsburgh Penguins. For that achievement, he actually received a Game Dated Moments card.
In fact, we could write plenty on his ingame performance this season. There’s a ton of highlights to mention, and if you’re curious to know more about his performance you can read up on it here.
