New Season, New Set: 2019 Topps Opening Day Baseball Set

Topps Opening Day

The first crack of the bat was heard on March 28th, officially marking the opening of the 2019 Major League Baseball season!

All 30 teams were represented and paired off against each other. No team was going to miss out on the start of what is highly expected to be another fantastic season of professional baseball.

To help celebrate the opening of the 2019 MLB season, a new collectible card set has been released, the “2019 Topps Opening Day Baseball” set!

Today, we will explore what this set is all about and what it has to offer to both new and seasoned collectors alike.

The 2019 Topps Opening Day Base Set

Just like last year, the 2019 Topps Opening Day Baseball set features a base set of 200 cards for collectors to obtain.

This set is once again on the lower end side of pricing and is thus geared more towards entry level / young collectors that are hoping to dip their toes into the collectible world of baseball cards.

Fortunately, at such a low level of entry, this set makes for an enjoyable opening experience, with some amazing cards featured within.

As seen from the images above, the 2019 Topps Opening Day Baseball set uses the iconic Topps design, seen in such set as its “Series 1 & Series 2” sets, of which are a staple sets within the collectible baseball card world.

However, setting this set apart is the fact that the cards feature an “Opening Day” logo, highlighting the set it belongs to and the fact that this set is meant to be a celebration of an amazing sport that so many of us have come to love and enjoy.
